I think Fall is the most glorious season of the year. Here in the Midwest , the colors are never the same from one mile to the next, and from one year to the next! Some of my fave layouts have been of the multihued foliage of Michigan , Illinois and Wisconsin .
From the look of our design team’s creations, people around the country are enjoying this much-anticipated season.
I love this layout from Donna Clark.
Besides the background paper she used,
those oversized leaves are gorgeous!
Notice the journaling going up and down
the trunk of the tree.
Annette offers us a layout of a family trip to a pumpkin festival. Arranging several different sizes of photos into a block is a great way to use a lot of photos instead of trying to pick out one or two favorites. Great tag embellishment, too.
Linda Weber shows off the Fall colors of northern Wisconsin on this card, using alcohol inks as a background for her stamping. Great job, Linda (working with alcohol inks is on my to-do list of new techniques and products—great inspiration!)
Kathy Carr offers a few layouts of the season.
I love how she uses felt circles as leaves to frame her photos. The vertical stripes of fall-colored paper makes a great background for the layout.
Kathy must love Fall as much as I do, because she also has another layout to inspire us all to get those seasonal photos scrapped. Those borders are a great idea, and I like the ric rac looking embellishment, too!
And finally, here are two fall-inspired cards using Crafter's Companion stamps. The first is from the SWALK collection, called "Little Princess".While I had the bottle of Liquid Glass out to give some shine to her eyes and sceptor, I decided to get rid of, I mean make excellent use of leftover sequins and beads in metallic colors that seem to complement the fall colors of my card.
The second card uses an image from CC's Humphrey stamp collection, called "Best Friends". Both cards used leftovers from my stash of papers, embellishments, stickers, etc. My stash is slowly diminishing, all thanks to my2011 Crafting Resolution to use up, not buy new.
So between the beautiful colors of Fall and these great projects for inspiration, you have no excuse to wait until winter to show off the glory outside your window. Scrap those photos and make and send friends and family some fall-themed cards.
Happy Crafting!!
