At Scrapbook Place, we have a Queen for the monh, and the above card is typical of cards made to give our new queens more fun.  I have to share our addiction with you - as written up by Pat Martin:

I saw a comment from one of our new members about being a Paperholic, and thought we could all benefit from the twelve step program. Just don't look to me as your sponsor, I have fallen off the shopping cart too many times to count!! Have fun with this, I made it up myself:

Step one: admit you have a problem.
Step two: gather your materials to thin down the amount
Step three: PIF a bunch at the next party
Step four: repeat 25 times a day: "I will not replace this, I will not replace this...
Step five: Don't even look at ads for Michael's, Joann's, HobbyLobby, Archiver and lss.
Step six: Be creative and frugal by working with your stash.
Step seven: show off your creativity (and your progress) by posting photos in your album.
Step eight: Before you buy, step out of the store and get a Coke or coffee. When you're finished with that, ask yourself if you still want it.
Step nine: Offer to "sponsor" your fellow crafters suffering from the same demons (don't be pushy, some aren't quite ready)
Step ten: Buy responsibly: recycle, reuse, refuse.
Step eleven: Email all your crafty friends and tell them how well you are doing; push it in their faces, brag, boast, laugh, cry.
Step twelve: Back to Step one, because by now you've fallen so far off the wagon that even the road is out of sight (serves you right for bragging, pride goeth before a fall).

Pat Martin
forever a paperholic (and proud of it)

Today is the first day we've ever hopped along with Scrapbook Stamp Society!

This hop has wonderful designers from the Scrapbook Place using amazing images from artists of Scrapbook Stamp Society to create some delightful cards for your enjoyment. Each design team member has used an image from Scrapbook Stamp Society, in their creations.

Our Scrapbook Place moderator, Linda W., says this:

I chose to make an easel card just because I needed the practice.  Can't get more of a need than that, right?  This is Lil_Sue by image artist: HEATHER VALENTIN

Partially opened easel card with the flowers for my bumper.  The black base is actually super lovely with wet looking black circles on it!  Was in my stash of course!

Fully open, I've left a little Smile for my recipient!  I'm happy to have helped our blog along by making a card and I fully endorse the Scrapbook Stamp Society's images - DOUBLE WOW!

Please hop though the blogs below and leave a little comment on each blog in the hop. There's a prize today from Scrapbook Stamp Society, that will be given to a winner selected at random chosen on Sunday afternoon. The winner will be announced and posted both on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog and the Scrapbook Place blog. Good Luck everyone!

And remember to come back here and leave a little love with a note that you visited everyone!

Here's the blog hop order
Scrapbook Place (YOU ARE HERE!)

There will be various candy prizes along the way - with digis from SSS - so get ready and have fun!

It's Raining Prizes!! Blog Hop and May Flowers Challenge

How was your holiday?  We hope you had a chance to hop with us and get a little summer inspiration!
Since some people are still celebrating the holiday with an extended weekend, we thought everyone would like to know if they won prizes here.
The first prize is going to one lucky hopper who commented along the way.  That person gets our exclusive independence day digital image from our own group member, Pammie Lehto, as well as a goody bag filled with red, white and blue crafty items.  And the winner is:
Becky writes:  "This was fun! Happy scrappin' everyone!"

Congrats, Becky!

All of our blog hop designers were in the running for prizes, too.  Here is the list of prize winners from our Independence Day Blog Hop, although everyone who participated in the Hop is a winner with us.  They created beautiful cards and hopefully inspired other crafters with their designs and techniques.
Congrats, ladies, and a big thank you!!  To view what you won, check out the group post.

Finally, we want to award the May Flowers Monthly Challenge prize to a crafter with the patience of a saint:

Carolyn has won a selection of handmade flowers from another talented group member, Shannon Leffew, whose Etsy Shop is blooming with her flowers and other handmades.

Now it's time to dig in and keep cool while we enjoy (?) this unusually hot summer weather.  Turn the fan on high, grab your well-iced glass of iced tea and craft your hearts out!!
