It's Time for Some Halloween Hopping!

Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.  ~George Eliot

Couldn't have said it better, George, except to add what a great season for creativity!  Welcome to Scrapbook Place October Blog Hop!  This is your official starting point, and after checking out the fabulous projects offered here, you can start down the list of those who have been inspired to create from all the colors of the season.

I made a Z-fold card for this post, to show off the foliage in my own craft room.  I scored a sheet of double-sided patterned paper from American Crafts and can't get enough of it to use on my cards, but boohoo, when I went back to my lss, the paper is already out of stock!  Note to self: If you love the paper, buy more than one sheet at a time, you just never know...

Next up is Pammie, who made two cute Halloween cards.  If you know me, then you know I am the queen of ripping paper.  Nothing makes me happier than to pull my paper to shreds to give my card or layout a special look.  Well, I bow to Pammie and her Mummy card.  It showcases the uniqueness and creativity of ripped paper beautifully!

Her other Halloween card highlights the wonders you can do with diecuts and stitching.  I love the way she uses the different shapes from her dies to create this cute vampire.  The red on his fangs is a great extra, and those eyes can entrance even the most sensible crafter, don't you think?

Next is Donna, whose cards I love to scoop up when she offers them to others.  Here, she uses several images, highlighting the one in the middle by framing it with a homemade slide mount.  It almost looks as if you could slide the frame to any of the images, doesn't it?  I also love the way she incorporates a flower embellishment, not the ususal "fall leaves" that you see on seasonal cards in October.  Anyone who uses non-traditional embellishments to beautify their cards is listed under the heading TALENTED in my big book of contacts.

Last is Karen with a Fall card that she made for someone special to brighten their day.  The fall colors are so warm and inviting and matched perfectly with the Cloud9Design pattern paper named Sparkle Fester N.Rott, Happy Halloween... what a crazy name!  The stamps are Hampton Arts "Autumn is in the Air," and she colored the stamps with Copics.  For the "thinking of YOU" stamp she used a Stampin' Up Pumpkin Ink pad.

Now that we've started you on your path toward creatvity and inspiration, here's tyhe official blog order.  Please remember to leave a little love for everyone you visit, as they worked hard to spark your muse in special ways.  As always, keep on crafting!!
